Our studio is conveniently located in Royal Oak, Calgary, with easy access to homes and businesses throughout the neighbourhood. Our excellent facilities and quick classes make our workouts fun, easy and suitable for a wide range of people looking to get in shape and feel great. Whether you're deconditioned and looking to shape up or a true weekend warrior, we're here to help you reach new heights of personal fitness.


With the Orangetheory workout, you'll keep your heart rate going through interval exercises over 60-minute periods. During your class, you'll cycle through three different activity blocks with 12 featured stations and workout machines. All of our exercises are designed to maximize your power, improve your strength and heighten your endurance.


Every class at Orangetheory Fitness is led by an experienced, dedicated trainer. Our coaches encourage and guide you throughout the class and help you to achieve your personal best through the Orangetheory workout. Our coaches can work with you to achieve your goals, modify exercises to suit your body and comfort levels and help you to reach physical milestones that once seemed out of reach.


Whatever your level of fitness or experience with gyms, our Royal Oak Orangetheory studio can be a great fit for you. Whether you're an experienced athlete or a raw beginner, you'll feel right at home. Coach Matt, with his business partner, Michael, is very proud and pleased to be able to be first to market with OTF in Calgary just over 3 years ago. He loves the community OTF builds, something that is never accomplished in a big box gym.  He is also amazed everyday by the results and the smiles the members get from the workouts and that they continue to inspire him in new ways each and every class.
 
Coach Matt is just that, he is a coach.  be ready to be coached when you enter the room with Matt.
 
Matt is super passionate about golf in the summer.  He also loves spending time with his family, his wife Khrista and their three boys, Maguire 12, Grady 9, and Maxwell 6.  In the winter he coaches all three boys hockey teams!

Matt has always had a passion for fitness, and he played 8 years in the Canadian Football League!

With her extensive background in Personal Training and Group Fitness, Kim fell in love with the science, excitement and camaraderie that is OTF at first sweat! She is a dedicated mom to two active young teens, loves cooking, skiing and being challenged physically & mentally. Kim is proud and excited to be Royal Oak's new Head Trainer.

HEART MONITORED TRAINING

 

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

COACH SUPPORT

 

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
