Coach Matt, with his business partner, Michael, is very proud and pleased to be able to be first to market with OTF in Calgary just over 3 years ago. He loves the community OTF builds, something that is never accomplished in a big box gym.  He is also amazed everyday by the results and the smiles the members get from the workouts and that they continue to inspire him in new ways each and every class.
 
Coach Matt is just that, he is a coach.  be ready to be coached when you enter the room with Matt.
 
Matt is super passionate about golf in the summer.  He also loves spending time with his family, his wife Khrista and their three boys, Maguire 12, Grady 9, and Maxwell 6.  In the winter he coaches all three boys hockey teams!
 
He has a couple quotes that he loves to share with members;

Matt has always had a passion for fitness, and he played 8 years in the Canadian Football League!

With her extensive background in Personal Training and Group Fitness, Kim fell in love with the science, excitement and camaraderie that is OTF at first sweat! She is a dedicated mom to two active young teens, loves cooking, skiing and being challenged physically & mentally. Kim is proud and excited to be Royal Oak's new Head Trainer.

 Anything I've just baked - muffins, cookies and especially homemade bread!
 
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?
 Rowing (with 2 arms!!), All Outs on inclines and any form of squat!
Coach Amy has been with OTF Calgary North since it's opening in 2014.  She loves the people at OTF and loves helping people become better everyday. No matter how hard the workout is they always leave with a smile which makes her smile. She also likes the diversity of the workouts and being able to visibly see participants heart rates during the class.  Her favorite thing to do outside of coaching, is to spend time with her husband three teenagers who are super busy with sports and their dog Lucy. She also loves to travel whenever or wherever she can! One little known fact about Amy is that she was a Young Canadian and performed at the grandstand show as a singer at the Calgary Stampede show for 3yrs.

HEART MONITORED TRAINING

 

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

COACH SUPPORT

 

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
